Alluvius
ROSÉ 2019
The Gimblett Gravels is an old river bed and the soil is a mixture of loose gravel, sand and silt the latin word for this is Alluvius.
This a dry rose made by bleeding some juice off our top red Merlot grapes within a couple of hours of being taken off the stalks and transferred to a vat for fermentation.
Swirl in your glass and smell wild strawberries and yellow peach aromas mingled with cinnamon. Lovely flavours of strawberries, wild dried herbs and a touch of spice with a silky texture but crisp refreshing finish.

Bumble Bee
PINOT GRIS 2019
The grapes were hand-picked by the wine making team and they were so ripe that the bees were swarming all over the bunches and picking bins. The bees clearly thought they were perfect grapes so hopefully you enjoy this as much as they did!
Ripe pear and gentle baking spice aromas mingle with rose petals. Lush and velvety in the mouth with flavours of pears, apricots and cinnamon.

Excalibur
MERLOT, CABERNET SAUVIGNON, SYRAH 2014
As the sword Excalibur was drawn from stone, this wine is created from the Stones of our Gimblett Gravels vineyard. In ancient times the Sword Makers were the master craftsmen of the day, carefully blending different percentages of metals to make a stronger sword. The same is true with this wine, each year we carefully craft a blend of the three grapes we grow to ensure the resultant wine is better than it’s individual parts.
Aromas of ripe dark plums, along with layers of nutmeg, allspice and vanilla. Smooth velvet texture with flavours of blackcurrant, blackberry and black olives. Lovely now but will cellar well with care.

Snazzy
Sauvignon Blanc 2019
In true Unison fashion this wine is certainly not a mass produced NZ Sauvignon Blanc with just a tad over 1000 bottles produced! This has enabled us to craft a slightly different style of Sauvignon Blanc which we think is a very Snazzy, hope you agree.
Layers of gooseberry, passionfruit and crushed herbs jump out of the glass. In the mouth an explosion of lime zest, gooseberry and passionfruit linger with a freshness on the finish

MAESTRO
Chardonnay 2018
This is the baby of our consultant wine maker Jenny Dobson, who uses all her wine making experience gained in France, Australia and New Zealand to craft this beautiful chardonnay. Truly a maestro’s creation and made to age gracefully so grab some for your cellar.
Amazing aromas of baking spice, fresh ripe apricots and toasted almonds. A rich velvety texture packed with stonefruit, toasted nuts and a citrus finish. Enjoy this chardonnay in its youth, or cellar carefully for enjoyment over the next 5 years.

Symphony
Syrah 2014
Symphony Syrah is the ultimate Syrah of each vintage. We carefully make this wine from our oldest vines, ferment in small batches with different yeasts and aged in different cooperages oak barrels. Careful blending of our batches gives us our Symphony as each batch played its part.
Spice and berry fruit abound on the nose with aromas of blueberry and cranberry. Intense dark berry fruit flavours mix with a dark spicy chocolate and soft rounded finish.

Rocky red
2017
Back in 2011 we launched a new easy drinking red named Recession Red as a wine to cheer people up in difficult times. The next vintage became Recovery Red and this was followed by Rocky Red which has stuck ever since!
This is a lovely easy drinking wine made to be enjoyed now with friends or maybe its too good to share! Bursting with berries this is a wine that also has hidden depths of flavour and intrigue that you only find in serious wines. Great with Italian food or your next BBQ.
Riversong red
This is a fortified wine made in a traditional Portuguese style. Some grapes are left on the vine at normal picking time and allowed to get extra ripe. Half way through the fermentation alcohol is added which basically capture the wine at a unique point in time with the resultant fortified wine being 18% Alcohol.
Amazingly rich and extravagant the wine is an intriguing blend of blackberries, blackcurrants, boysenberries and spices on the finish. The sweetness is balanced by the grapes acidity to ensure it flows down with a satisfying warming sensation. Rocky RosÉ
2018
An easy drinking style of Rose, this wine is made in the traditional method of saigné (bleeding) the juice off the red wine vats at the end of our picking days. Aromas and flavours of strawberries and cream abound. This rosé is soft and supple with lingering intense red berry flavours. Pick this Rosé if you have prefer less dry wines.

Rocky Syrah
2017
Each swirl of the glass brings another layer of aromatics that add to the enjoyment of our easy drinking Rocky Syrah. Purple flower aromas lead to spice and ripe blueberries. Bold, intense and powerful on the palate, the spicy blueberry flavours are wrapped in a mouth filling texture.
Merlin’s Reserve
Merlot 2015
In Authurian legend mysterious Merlin was never too far away. Our Reserve Merlot has always been a mysterious and complex wine with lots of dark plums and spice combining into a magical Merlot.
Classic Blend
2013
A blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah from an almost perfect vintage. Still a young wine with bags of cellaring potential.
Selection
2015
This is our ultimate blend and is only made if the vintage is good enough. Made to showcase the “King of Grapes”, Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine is crafted from grapes grown in the best parts of our vineyard and with the lowest number of grapes per vine. 2015 was a cooler spring and early summer than usual but by mid-summer the heat that Cabernet needs really kicked in. 2015 is the first vintage to proudly show off a new look.
Bold, fragrant aromatics of sweet blackcurrants, crushed dried herbs layered with tobacco, cedar and cinnamon bark. On the palate there is sustained flavours of cassis, dark berries, spice, cocoa and graphite. Well knit, lacy tannins dance on the finish that will soften further with careful cellaring. Decant before serving.
