Unison Selection 2001
The Unison Selection label is regarded as “consistently outstanding Hawke’s Bay red”. (Michael Cooper’s Buyers Guide 2003)
Unison Selection 2001 is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah and was aged for 24 months in wood.
The 2001 is a great follow up to the 2000 Selection, packed full of forest berry aromas with a subtle vanilla note. The attack in the mouth is soft and full, with the rich berry and dark chocolate aromas developing complexity. A ripe and fine tannin structure leads through to a lingering, smooth and long finish on the palate.
