Syrah - since 10 years we have the expertise of creating fine Syrahs for our premium blends, since 2002 we have included in our portfolio a 100% premium Syrah.

Unison wines are recognized to be not mainstream, instead they are well balanced and sophisticated. Unison Syrah underlines these attributes to have already become a highly acclaimed varietal wine.

Each year our Syrah builds in reputation and popularity. Our current vintage release is Syrah 2008. Here are are wine maker Jenny Dobsons tasting notes:

Smokey, gingerbread along with fragrant violets and savoury dried meat aromas, ensure this wine is complex and intriguing on the nose.                       

The palate is elegant and supple showing superb balance between the sweeter fruit and floral notes, together with the savoury, spicy highlights and a supple silky tannin structure. The wine flows delicately over the palate allowing a succession of flavours, both savoury and sweet to delight and refresh. 

Lingering flavours and fine silky tannins complete this elegant well-balanced wine that is a pleasure to drink now but will continue to develop complexity with careful cellaring.
